Selected case results from the Avery & Avery, Esqs. trial practice are collected on this page. Entries are organized by practice area and include a brief description of the charge or claim, the court of disposition, and the outcome.
Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Each legal matter is unique. Outcomes depend on the specific facts, the applicable law, judicial discretion, opposing counsel, and factors outside the firm’s control.
Why Case Results Matter
The case-result inventory below is illustrative — it shows the kinds of matters Avery & Avery has handled across the firm’s fifty year practice and the kinds of outcomes that have been achieved when the facts and law support them. Robert W. Avery’s published Third Circuit precedent in Delvoye v. Lee, 329 F.3d 330 (3d Cir. 2003) (cert. denied, 540 U.S. 967 (2003)) is the firm’s marquee appellate result; trial-level matters span Bergen, Hudson, Essex, Passaic, Morris, and Sussex counties.
We are publishing the bulk of our case-result entries with the launch of this site. Each entry is anonymized and reviewed for client confidentiality before posting; we will not publish results that risk a prior client confidentiality concern under NJ RPC 1.6 or RPC 1.9.

How We Approach Result Reporting
We treat case results the way we treat case work — with seriousness and accuracy. Each entry on this page (and on the practice-area pages) reflects an actual matter in the firm’s docket. Anonymized descriptors (charge, court, outcome) replace any client-identifying information. We do not publish dollar verdict or settlement amounts unless the matter is public record. We do not publish testimonials attributed to named clients without written authorization.
